Welcome to Kinder Cabin.

Kinder Cabin is a Spanish/English two-way preschool located in the Sammamish neighborhood of Beaver Lake. For the last eight years, we have welcomed children to a multicultural experience filled with joy, love, and learning.

We believe that the learning environment to which children are exposed in their early years is critical to their complete and healthy cognitive, emotional, and physical growth.

Our mission is to provide a loving, fun, and safe environment to ensure our kids develop to their full potential.

Benefits of a Two-way Immersion Education

In our two-way immersion model,  English / Spanish speakers are integrated all day with the goal of developing bilingualism and promoting diversity and cultural awareness.

Researchers have found many benefits to being bilingual.

Here are a few:

  • Because bilingual children are capable of switching between two different language systems, their brains are very active and pliable, which allows them to develop more flexible approaches to solving problems.

  • Being bilingual in our global society helps children develop and maintain strong ties with their families, culture, and community. Bilingual children are able to make new friends and create strong relationships using their second language.

  • The ability to read and think in two (or more) different languages promotes higher levels of abstract thought, which is important in learning.

  • Bilingual and bi-literate individuals have the opportunity to participate in the global community in more ways, get information from more places, and learn more about people from other cultures.

Childhood is not a race to see how quickly a child can read, write and count. It is a small window of time to learn and develop at the pace that is right for each individual child.
